The Hyde End Craft Show is a long established event, running for the last sixteen years, during which time there have been several organisers. Living Heritage took over the organisation of this in 2016 and enjoyed welcoming both old and new visitors to the fair. We are looking forward to an even bigger and better craft show in 2018, with more top quality crafters.
Craft Halls
Our craft marquees are undercover, heated if it’s cold enough and carpeted throughout for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. Come and take your time browsing the variety of crafts we have on display.
We have people like the lovely Keilly Sturgess, who makes her own absolutely gorgeous soaps in the ‘Mad About Nature’range. It’s a true family business: last year Kielly had her three week old baby boy strapped to her as she sold. He’s likely to be rather more active this year!
If you want something rather more unusual, Howard Machin is bringing his ‘Ancient Wonders’ – pictures and ornaments crafted out of a variety of genuine fossils: that has to be the perfect present forsomebody you know!
Of course there are a variety of different jewellery stands from different silversmiths, bead workers and workers of dichroic glass. One of the more unusual is Paul Hornby, who crafts his jewellery out of highly polished coins from history and around the world. Paul has been with us for many years and his unusual jewellery is always a talking point as you wander the craft marquees.
Another talking point is the lovely whimsical pottery of Roz Lowe with her ‘Fifty Shades of Clay’. Roz creates not just artwork but stories with her magical fairy gardens, many of them just the right size for a child’s hand, and the right price for her pocket!
And of course, these are just a few of the many exhibitors we have in our huge craft marquees at Hyde End. Come and meet our crafters and hear their stories.
For those of you who have visited the show before, a lot of the familiar faces and crafts will be there. We have quality artists, designers and craftsmen and women all attending this event. This gives you the opportunity to buy or commission quality hand crafted items from some of Britain’s finest. There will also be quite a few new faces, bringing with them a whole host of different crafts and skills, with more of an emphasis on working demonstrations.
Enjoy a family day out with traditional & contemporary british crafts.
